初期作品の通称UPSIDE DOWN から微改良進化をし始めた通称[U溝モデル]
製造期間意匠申請中1984〜1985年の間わずか数ヶ月。
ベリリウムカッパーをクラブ素材として世界初採用し造り始めた時期で、記念すべき初期カッパー凸文字U溝アザーズペンドモデルと思われます。

当時アイ2含め店頭に並ぶゴルフクラブはセット販売が当たり前で、現在の様なバラ売り概念は無く使用頻度高いSの補充や予備は一式購入するしかなかった時代でした。
結果ウェッジ抜かれ放置されたアイ2セットが多発、ダメージある可哀想な歯抜けが現在中古市場出回ってるのはそんな理由(その後多くのリクエストに応え単品販売を始めたのもピン社が初だったと記憶) 
その中でも、磨けば輝き時間と共に独特の色合いに酸化して行くベリリウムカッパーは製造過程の問題で生産中止され、二度とクラブとして造られる事のない魅力ある奇跡的な産物。
こちら多少使用感もフェイス面綺麗で溝潰れも無い良品を以前偶然発見し入手。工房にてシャフト内部含めメンテナンス施しピン純正ウェッジ専用グリップ新品ダイラに交換、現在コレクションとしてこの素材にしか出せない深い飴色の渋さとクラッシックな雰囲気ノスタルジック気分醸し出す部屋飾りとなっていて到着後即使用可能状態に仕上っています。
